Travel Insurance
Why do I need insurance?
Travel insurance is for the unexpected, the things you are unable to plan for: a medical emergency, lost baggage, missed flight, stolen passport.
- Weather forces a flight delay, causing you to miss the first day of your pilgrimage. Insurance can reimburse you for this travel delay.
- The airline goes on strike, and you remain at your destination one extra day. Insurance can reimburse you for any extra costs incurred.
- You fall while walking on uneven pavement, breaking a wrist. Insurance can cover your overseas medical expenses.
- A loved one grows seriously ill shortly before departure and you decide to stay home to care for them. Or, you find yourself seriously ill and unable to travel. Insurance can refund the cost of your pilgrimage.
Why Choose CSA Travel Insurance?
Tekton Ministries does not provide travel insurance directly, as we are not an insurance agency. You may choose any provider for coverage, but our ministry team highly recommends CSA because they offer:
- A 24/7/365 emergency assistance hotline from anywhere in the world, plus access to a global network of physicians
- Concierge services with pet relocation assistance, and identity theft resolution
- Award-winning customer service and efficient, in-house claims processing
- 10-days to cancel your plan and receive a full refund of plan cost
- A company with 25-plus years’ experience that understands you
CSA Travel Insurance offers two plans for our pilgrims:
- The vast majority of our pilgrims choose the “Comfort” plan, with the remainder purchasing the “Comfort Luxe” plan. Each of these plans cover basic cancellation, trip interruption, delays, missed connections, medical and dental coverage, and more, and may be purchased at any time after your pilgrimage registration is processed. The cost of these plans is determined by the age of the traveler(s) and the amount of coverage you wish to receive. The benefit payout differences of these two plans can be seen below.
For more detailed general descriptions of each policy, please click below. Enter your state of residence and expected plan purchase date to see the PDF document detailing your state-specific benefits and exclusions.
NOTE: In the rare instance you need a travel insurance policy that has a "trip cancellation for any reason" clause to cover additional reasons for cancellation NOT covered in the general policies found at the buttons above, you will need to research another company, as CSA does not offer this benefit at this time.
